Intro

BTC+ is our official conference app — your personal command center for your schedule, your networking tool, your event map, and your direct connection to everything happening at the conference.

BTC+ is currently available on the US and Hong Kong App Stores only.

Whether this is your first time attending or you're returning, this guide will help you get the most out of the app's features from the moment you log in.

Getting Started

Logging In

BTC+ uses a verification code login — the easiest and most secure method for new users.

How to Log In

  1. Enter the email address you used to purchase your conference pass.
  2. Select "Send a Code."
  3. Check your inbox for the verification code from noreply@auth.b.tc.
  4. Enter the code into the app to complete login.

Since your event access is tied to your pass purchase email, logging in automatically brings you into the event — there's no separate Join Code or Join Event step.

The verification code method avoids exposing personal account info and keeps the process fast and simple.

Setting Up Your Profile

Your profile helps other attendees learn who you are, what you do, and how to connect with you.

We highly recommend completing your profile—this boosts the quality of your networking matches and increases visibility.

Steps to Set Up Your Profile

The app guides you through the following steps:

  1. Upload a Profile Picture You can use your own photo or a branded avatar (like our mascot, Maxi).
  2. Add Personal Information This may include your name, title, and how you participate in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
  3. Company Information Add your organization, role, or project. This improves matchmaking and discovery.
  4. Social Media & Handles Add platforms like X/Twitter, LinkedIn, or other relevant accounts. These make it easier for new connections to follow up after the event.
  5. Select Your Interests Choose what brings you to BTC+ and select 3 topics that interest you most. Select all that apply.
  6. Complete Your Profile Review your info and finish setup.

Once complete, your profile will be visible to other attendees (you can always preview how others see it under View Profile).

Features to Explore

Account Settings

Found in the bottom navigation bar when you first open the app (alongside Home and Events), this section allows you to:

  • Update profile details
  • Manage visibility
  • Adjust privacy preferences
  • Review connected accounts

Good to check once before the event starts.

Notifications

Enable notifications so you never miss:

  • Schedule changes
  • Newly added sessions
  • Networking requests
  • Announcements
  • Private messages

We recommend leaving notifications on during the conference.

Networking Tools

BTC+ includes powerful networking features designed to help you meet people easily.

Please note that networking features — including the attendee list, QR scanning, and messaging — are available to GA+ and Whale Pass-holders only.

From here you can:

  • Browse profiles
  • Filter by interest or role
  • Send connection requests
  • Schedule meetings

QR Code & Scan Feature

There are two functions here:

  1. Show My QR Code Use this when someone wants to connect with you quickly. They scan your QR to view your profile instantly.
  2. Scan a QR Code Open your camera within the app to scan someone else's QR. It immediately pulls up their profile so you can connect or message them.

This feature is great for expo booths, casual encounters, and quick introductions.

Navigating BTC+

When you first open the app, BTC+ is organized around a bottom navigation bar with three main tabs: Home, Events, and Account Settings.

Home

Your landing page inside the app. From Home you can check:

  • Live Bitcoin price
  • Conference news and announcements
  • Other quick updates

Inside an Event

Once you select a specific event from the Events tab, you'll unlock that event's full toolkit:

Build Your Schedule

Browse available sessions and book the ones you want to attend. Booked sessions are added directly to My Agenda for that event, where you can view your full schedule once you've selected the event.

Venue Map

View the map for the event venue to help you find stages, booths, and key locations.

House Rules

Review the event's house rules and policies before you arrive.

Sponsors

Browse the list of event sponsors.
