Whether this is your first time attending or you're returning, this guide will help you get the most out of the app’s features from the moment you log in.

Getting Started

Logging In

The app allows two login methods, but the easiest and most secure for new users is the verification code option.

How to Log In

  1. Enter your email address.
  2. Select “Send a Code.”
  3. Check your inbox for a message from the .
  4. Enter the code into the app to complete the login.

The verification code method avoids exposing personal account info and keeps the process fast and simple.


Joining the Event

Once logged in, you’ll be prompted to Join Event.

There are two ways to do this, but we recommend using the Join Code so you get familiar with the fastest, most reliable method.

How to Join

  1. Open the email invitation you received.
  2. Look for the Join Code (usually highlighted in the message).
  3. Copy the code.
  4. Return to the app and paste it into the Join Event field.

Once you’re in, the event dashboard will unlock all app features.


Setting Up Your Profile

Your profile helps other attendees learn who you are, what you do, and how to connect with you.

We highly recommend completing your profile—this boosts the quality of your networking matches and increases visibility.

Steps to Set Up Your Profile

The app typically guides you through four steps, such as:

  1. Upload a Profile Picture

    You can use your own photo or a branded avatar (like our mascot, Maxi).

  2. Add Personal Information

    This may include your name, title, and how you participate in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

  3. Company Information

    Add your organization, role, or project. This improves matchmaking and discovery.

  4. Social Media & Handles

    Add platforms like X/Twitter, LinkedIn, or other relevant accounts.

    These make it easier for new connections to follow up after the event.

Once complete, your profile will be visible to other attendees (you can always preview how others see it under View Profile).

Account Settings

Found usually under the app menu, this section allows you to:

  • Update profile details
  • Manage visibility
  • Adjust privacy preferences
  • Review connected accounts

Good to check once before the event starts.


Notifications

Enable notifications so you never miss:

  • Schedule changes
  • Newly added sessions
  • Networking requests
  • Announcements
  • Private messages

We recommend leaving notifications on during the conference.


Networking Tools

The app includes powerful networking features designed to help you meet people easily.

Please note this feature is available to Pro and Whale Pass-holders only.

 

See All Attendees

A full list of attendees is available within the Networking tab.

From here you can:

  • Browse profiles
  • Filter by interest or role
  • Send connection requests
  • Schedule meetings

QR Code & Scan Feature

There are two functions here:

  1. Show My QR Code

    Use this when someone wants to connect with you quickly. They scan your QR to view your profile instantly.

  2. Scan a QR Code

    Open your camera within the app to scan someone else’s QR.

    It immediately pulls up their profile so you can connect or message them.

This feature is great for expo booths, casual encounters, and quick introductions.


Bookmarks & Scheduling

Bookmark Sessions

Anywhere you see a session, panel, or talk, you can tap Bookmark. This saves it directly to My Schedule.

View My Schedule

All your saved sessions and networking meetings appear here.

This section helps you keep track of your day and avoid overlapping commitments.

Sync Schedule to Your Device

Once your schedule is set:

  1. Navigate to My Schedule
  2. Tap Sync to My Device
  3. Allow calendar access

Your sessions will now appear in your phone’s calendar app—making reminders and planning even easier.


Using the Menu

The app menu (usually accessed from a corner icon) is your shortcut to all major features. Depending on the event app design, it may include:

  • Home / Dashboard
