Purchase Protection: How to Make Your Pass Refundable
When purchasing your conference pass, you have the option to add Purchase Protection at checkout. This optional feature is powered by Refundable.me and allows you to request a refund if you're unable to attend due to qualifying unforeseen circumstances.
What does it cover?
Purchase Protection may cover situations such as illness or injury, flight disruptions, severe weather, home emergencies, theft of documents, jury service, and more. A full list of qualifying reasons and required evidence can be found on the Refundable.me website.
How do I add it?
Purchase Protection is offered during the checkout process when buying your pass. Simply select the option to make your booking refundable before completing your purchase.
How do I file a claim?
If you need to request a refund, click the link in your original booking confirmation email or visit: https://www.refundable.me/en-uk
Claims can be submitted up to 60 days after the event. You'll be asked to provide supporting evidence depending on the reason for your claim.
Important things to know:
Purchase Protection must be added at the time of purchase, it cannot be added after checkout. The maximum refund value per transaction is $15,000 USD (or local currency equivalent). Refund decisions are made by Refundable.me, not by The Bitcoin Conference. This does not change our standard no-refund policy on passes, it is a separate, optional service
